We are looking for an underwriter to join our team. You will have at least ten years of relevant experience and will ideally have worked for a reinsurer so you will have experienced the different underwriting philosophies of many different insurers. Some experience of working with actuaries in the past to help to establish the optimum number of questions and the impact on price of adding and removing different questions is preferable. You are proficient in designing and implementing rules for expert underwriting engines and you have awareness of the strengths and weaknesses of the different reinsurer underwriting guides and UREs.

The role will give you the opportunity to work on a wide variety of assignments and you will be liaising with fellow underwriters at both insurers and reinsurers in order to help insurance companies to identify the best underwriting philosophy for each of their distribution channels. You will also support new product developments as the underwriting journey is key to the successful implementation of new product launches.
